In Australia we say pottering around, not puttering. I couldn’t figure out if it was an accent difference but as I see here in the links it’s a completely different spelling but same meaning, much like mom vs. mum
Hi Liz and Sarah,
I just discovered your podcast and a new word, puttering (I’m French Canadian so my vocabulary is somewhat limited).
I particularly liked this episode and the one on trusting our instincts.
For sure, I’ll come back here more often!
Finally, I thought a few quotes on “asking for help” would be helpful and a good complement to your podcast.
Here are a few from my article on Wisdom Quotes (http://wisdomquotes.com/inspirational-quotes/)
Be strong enough to stand alone, smart enough to know when you need help, and brave enough to ask for it. Unknown
Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle. Plato
Some people go to priests; others to poetry; I to my friends. Virginia Woolf
Sometimes it takes more courage to ask for help than to act alone. Ken Petti
We all understand the importance of asking for help. Those who achieve big things are the ones who accept it when it’s offered. Simon Sinek
Sometimes, asking for help is the most meaningful example of self-reliance. Unknown
Ask for help. Not because you are weak. But because you want to remain strong. Les Brown
Thanks,
Maxime
